Admissions


 

GENEL REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICATION

  1. All documents required for application should be submitted to the institute of Social Sciences before the deadline announced on the relevant webpage of the Institute. The relevant dates and documents for application are announced on the website of the Institute: http://www.sbe.yildiz.edu.tr/
  2. Interviews will be held on the dates announced at the Institute website.
  3. All candidate with valid applications are required to attend the interviews on the dates announced.
  4. Applications with missing documents will not be accepted.
  5. The Masters program will accept 20 students at maximum.
  6. The PhD program will accept 10 students at maximum.

 

MASTER OF ARTS PROGRAM APPLICATION AND REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS AND PROCEDURES

  1. A letter of intention, 2-3 pages of length, written on a computer in Turkish. In the letter of intention, the candidate should state his/her reason for application, any specific area of interest, past experiences related to the program, the objectives sought with this education, and why he/she considers this program to be particularly suitable for these objectives.
  2. B.A. degree
  3. Transcripts documenting all undergraduate and graduate courses taken, the grades and the average grade points.
  4. Undergraduate average grade point: Minimum 2.5/4.00.
  5. ALES Point (for applications from Turkey): Minimum 55 (General Point – EA).

ADMISSIONS PROCESS

  1. The letters of intention are given significant consideration by the admissions committee.
  2. Applicants with complete documentation and complying with the application requirements are inveidet for interview.
  3. The research proposal of the candidate, together with the application file, are taken into consideration in the interview process.
  4. Candidates considered successful in the interview process are admitted to the program.
